For lilies they must maintain a good drainage soil so that way their soil can stay evenly moist. Otherwise Basel rot can occur with in the flower when its overwatered. You can tell if they are overwatered by the color, they typically come as a yellow on the petals. For insufficient sunlight they just need to maintain at least 6 hours minimum of sunlight. You can tell they need sunlight by looking at the stem of the flower. If it is very thin and losing its green color then it is not photosynthesizing enough.
